Overview of Drug Prescribing Patterns for Mentally Ill Patients at the Pharmacy Installation of the 45 Kuningan Regional General Hospital

Abstract

Mental disorders are a health problem that has not been well resolved globally. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of drug prescription patterns in patients with mental disorders in the Pharmacy Installation of Regional General Hospital 45 Kuningan for the period September-November 2023. This study is a non-experimental study using a descriptive design with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out retrospectively using secondary data in the form of patient prescription sheets and patient medical records with a diagnosis of mental disorders. The population obtained amounted to 453 prescriptions and the sample obtained amounted to 82 prescriptions using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was used using the SPSS (Statistics Program for Social Science) calculation program and univariate analysis was performed using descriptive analysis to determine the frequency distribution of patient characteristics and treatment characteristics
