Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of gender diversity, CEO overconfidence, and political connections on zombie companies. This type of research is a quantitative research with statistical methods. The object of the research used is the consumer cyclicals and consumer non-cyclicals sectors listed on the IDX in the 2019-2022 period. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling. Data analysis uses panel data and is processed with  STATA software version 17. The results of the study show that gender diversity has a negative effect and significant on zombie companies, CEO overconfidence has a positive and significant effect  on zombie companies, and political connections have an effect but are not significant on zombie companies
